The speaker for the September meeting was Amanda Teti, Development Director for Homes for the Brave. She gave a great presentation on the different residences and how the organization is set up. The State Project Chairman for Homes for the Brave, Beverly Regan and the information contact, Wendy Pandolfi, were present to answer questions and provide information. District 3 is collecting twin bed sheets in solid colors.
The program for the October meeting is a Self Defense Workshop given by Tom Smith, CKA Karate, of Northford.

The Dutch Auction is the subject of the November meeting. All are welcome to attend.
The club will hold its annual holiday dinner and host Photos with Santa and a Children's ID session.
The program for January is Handwriting Analysis with Irene Lambert.

The presenters for the February meeting are Michael Lipman and Cathy Forsberg of South Asia Pure Water Initiative, Ince. (SAPWII). They will speak on providing affordable water filters to communities in India.
A representative from Van Wilgen's garden center will speak on organic gardening.
A representative from Historic Barns of Connecticut will speak about Connecticut Barns and provide a slide presentation.
The program for May is Art Therapy by Mimi Beaulieu. Mimi is a registered Art Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Co-occurring Disorder Professional-Diplomat. She also works with clients with legal issues and at times issues of history of trauma. Art therapy can be a helpful tool in exploring problems, as well as a form of relaxation.
The year end club dinner and the installation of officers is the program for June.
